Financial Aid Scholarship Essay & Information
February 10, 2009 is the 4th annual UNC Scholarship Fair at the UC Ballroom from 10 to 2pm. Students are encouraged to stop by and find out about available scholarships and to register to win 1 of 2 $1,000 scholarships.
February 1 2009 is the “priority” deadline to complete and submit the UNC Universal Scholarship Application to be considered for all types of scholarships. Priority will be given to students who complete the application by February 1 as committees will begin the scholarship selection process at this time. The “final” deadline will be March 1 2009. That is when the application will be taken off-line and can no longer be completed. For more information go to: http://www.unco.edu/ofa/. Students need to be aware that they must be fully admitted to UNC before they are able to complete the Universal Scholarship Application. The admission process may take from 3-4 weeks.
Here are the two essay questions that you will find on the Universal Scholarship Application in Ursa:
Describe selected experiences from your life such as activities, organizations, community service, etc. that show how you have demonstrated leadership and involvement in your community or UNC campus activities.
Name something related to your chosen major about which you feel deeply and describe why you feel that way.
