Credit and Grade Transfer

As an academic program, NSE students participate in credit coursework and transfer the credits back to their home institutions. NSE students can earn full credit for a semester or year on exchange. Our office maintains a file of course catalogs on those NSE schools that do not have accessible catalogs on their websites. Through the process of academic advising and approval of course work the students will know what they will be taking before they leave on exchange. UNC does not allow grades to be transferred but accepts the credit. This means that the GPA you receive on exchange will be posted on your official transcripts but will not be included in your cumulative GPA, officially only your credits are transferred.
