Graduate Program Admission Procedures
You must apply to the University of Northern Colorado Graduate School before the SES program area reviews your request for admission. To apply, submit the following materials to the UNC Graduate School in a single packet along with the application fee: 1) Graduate Application form, 2) transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, 3) GRE scores (for Doctoral applicants only). Failure to submit all required materials will delay the evaluation and screening of your application. For more detail regarding admission procedures please visit the University's Graduate School website.
In addition to the materials submitted to the Graduate School, the following materials must be submitted to the School of Sport and Exercise Science: 1) two letters of recommendation for master’s and post baccalaureate applicants, and three letters of recommendation for doctoral applicants, 2) a current resume, 3) a written statement of career goals applicable to the selected emphasis area.
For information regarding financial aid, scholarships, and graduate assistantships, please visit the Graduate School Incoming Students page. In addition, the School of Sport and Exercise Science offers a limited number of Graduate Teaching Assistantships. To apply for one of these assistantships, complete the application form, and send the completed application form to the School of Sport and Exercise Science.
Questions regarding specific SES program areas and application deadlines will be directed to the appropriate faculty. Address all questions to Ms. Christina Szasz at Christina.szasz@unco.edu.
