Physical Education: K-12 Teaching Emphasis

The mission of the Sport and Exercise Science pedagogy program is to prepare professionals capable of delivering physical education programs that promote self-directed, responsible, physically active lifestyles in school-aged children and youth across the state and region. The focus of Physical Education Teacher Education is to graduate entry-level professional physical educators who possess a personal and professional commitment to physical activity and will demonstrate the knowledge and skills requisite to promoting learning in the area of physical activity.
