Welcome to Human Rehabilitative Services
The Human Rehabilitative Services Program at the University of Northern Colorado offers graduate degrees at the master's and doctoral levels and is carefully designed to allow students to pursue exciting careers in the field of rehabilitation. The Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling has implemented a successful, new format consisting of required courses offered online and on weekends or evenings, along with practicum and internship opportunities and elective courses. This allows students who live outside the Northern Colorado region and those who may have full-time employment to participate in the master's program. This innovative class format creates an exciting blend of students working closely with faculty to explore the various opportunities in the field of rehabilitation.
The Doctor of Philosophy in Human Rehabilitation prepares the highest level of scholars in the field and is the one of the only programs in the region. Graduates of the doctoral program often pursue rewarding careers in higher education, research, administration, and clinical rehabilitation work. Doctoral students are also eligible to participate in the Western Regional Graduate Program, which grants resident tuition status to eligible candidates. This intensive and stimulating program is perfect for students and professionals wishing to advance their career and knowledge of the rehabilitation field.
