Dr. Juliet H. Fried is a Professor of Human Rehabilitative Services and the Project Director of the Long Term Training Program in Vocational Evaluation in the Human Services Program at the University of Northern Colorado.  She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in vocational evaluation and rehabilitation counseling/services, and has been Project Director for several training and research grants.  She received her doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado, has a masters degree in Vocational Evaluation from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and is nationally certified in both of these areas.  Her research interests include: outcome studies and best practices related to vocational evaluation and assessment service delivery, assistive technology use among people with disabilities, and issues surrounding the rehabilitation of people with HIV/AIDS.  Dr. Fried has published a number of articles and made numerous presentations on these rehabilitation topics.  She also has a lengthy history of involvement in professional organizations and commissions that includes serving as President of the National Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Association (VEWAA), Vice Chair and Commissioner of the Commission on Certification of Work Adjustment and Vocational Evaluation Specialists (CCWAVES), and President of the Colorado Rehabilitation Association.
