The Mission Statement of the UNC Recreation Club is:

To further educate students in the various facets of leisure, recreation and tourism by providing opportunities for university and community service, special event planning and participation, career networking, and for increasing awareness of the recreation and tourism profession.

White river raftingThe UNC Recreation Management Club (RMC) meets twice a month: the first Wednesday of every month at 2:30p in Gunter, and the third Friday of every month at 6:00p at Pitcher’s on 11th Ave. Club activities for the fall semester include advertising for special events, football game tailgating, promoting the UNC club hockey team, intramural sports, and volunteer work. During the spring semester, the RMC will host a battle of the bands for a special event to “Rock the Box” and raise funds for the club. The RMC will also be working to better serve local communities, UNC faculty, staff, and students through volunteer work, special event planning, and sponsorships.
