Dr. Givray is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) as well as a Certified Parent Coach, receiving her certificate from Seattle Pacific University and the Parent Coaching Institute.

She has been teaching at the University of Northern Colorado since 2005. She is the Graduate Coordinator of the Master of Public Health Program and is the Faculty Advisor for Eta Sigma Gamma (Health Education Honorary). Dr. Givray serves on the newly forming School of Public Health admissions and curriculum committees.

She is a member of the American Association for Health Education (AAHE), American Public Health Association (APHA), the Colorado Public Health Association (CPHA), Society of Public Health Association (SOPHE), and the Colorado Chapter of SOPHE. She is active in the Weld County Tobacco Free Coalition as well as the Advisory Council on Adolescent Health. Her research interests include at-risk behaviors in adolescents and tobacco prevention in youth.
