Betsy Cairo, Ph.D.Associate Professor of Community Health
Betsy Cairo began teaching at UNC in 1995 after completing her PhD in Human Reproduction from the Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Cairo is board certified in human reproduction from the American Association of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD). Additionally she owns and directs a male fertility-testing laboratory and sperm bank in Loveland, Colorado. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine Psychological Special Interest Group, the American Association of Tissue Banks, the American Association of Bioanalysis and the American Association of Bioanalysis College of Reproductive Biology. She directed the Fertility Center at the Greeley Medical Clinic for 15 years working to improve patient education and understanding of fertility procedures to the public. She has graduate faculty status. |
