Criteria for Admission Consideration:

Prior bachelor's Degree

Minimum GPA of 3.0 and is competitive

Complete prerequisites before beginning

Admission GPA calculated on most recent 45 credit hours-and the nursing prerequisites.

Time and resources to complete program

Prerequisite science GPA of 2.0 but is competitive

Certification as CNA before applying

Interview and letters of recommendation

Commitment to work at PVH or NCMC for 2 years. Preference will be given to current employees in good standing

Personal essay based on questions distributed with application packets in late fall.

Acceptance to UNC prior to applying to SON
