Challenge Exams
One of the ways to get credit for pre-requisite courses is to take a challenge exam. There are two different types of challenge exams;
CLEP Exams: The College Level Placement Examinations allow you to test out of general education and support classes such as English, chemistry, psych etc.
NLN Exams: The National League for Nursing exams allow you to test out of Pharmacology and Nutrition.
If you have had a course in nutrition in your nursing program you may only need one test. If you have not had nutrition you will need to take two exams.
To order these tests or for further information about the tests contact Linda Morehead at UNC at 970-351-2790 or Linda.Morehead@unco.edu.
