Required Prerequisite Nursing Courses
BSN Traditional and Second Degree Programs
All course prerequisites must be completed or the equivalent/substitution transferred in prior to beginning the BSN nursing program. These include the following:
(not required for 2nd Degree program)
Principles of Biology (4 credits)
Intro to Human Anatomy & Physiology (4 credits)
Advanced Human Anatomy & Physiology (3 credits)
Allied Health Microbiology (3 credits)
Fundamentals of Biochemistry (5 credits)
College Research Paper (3 credits)
Principles of Nutrition (3 credits)
Pathophysiology (3 credits)
Human Growth & Development (3 credits)
Introduction to Statistical Analysis (3 credits)
*Courses also meet LAC requirements
- A CNA course must be completed prior to application!
- If BIO 101 was taken prior to the 2012-2013 academic year, it will be accepted in place of BIO 110.
- If FND 357 was taken prior to the 2012-2013 academic year, it will be accepted in place of FND 250.
- Transcripts must be reviewed for course equivalency/substitution. Additional information and a program advisor are available for consultation.
