Letter from Coordinator

Dear Prospective Student:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist option prepares nurses for the advanced practice roles in a variety of clinical settings in which chronic and long-term health problems must be managed. The program offers students a unique opportunity to explore advanced leadership roles in education, health promotion, and in the management of chronic illness.

We currently offer all courses in a one-day-a-week format on Thursdays and many classes are offered online. Students have the option of enrolling part time or full time. Please check out our web site for course descriptions and other information, including a link for online application to the Graduate School.

Students are admitted to the program in Fall semesters only. Once students are fully admitted to the program and enrolled full time (nine semester hours), they may be eligible for Federal Nurse Traineeship money to support their education. Contact the school with questions (970) 351-2293. Please read carefully the information on Health and Safety Requirements, within the school web site.

Sincerely,
