Dr. Vicki Wilson is a Professor of Nursing at the University of
Northern Colorado. Prior to returning to Nursing, Dr. Wilson (Downey)
served UNC for five years as Assistant/Associate Vice President
for Academic Affairs. Dr. Wilson is the coordinator for Semester
V and teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate programs.
Vicki received her Doctorate in Teaching and Learning: Research
Methodologies from the University of North Dakota. She taught at
UND for ten years prior to coming to UNC. Dr. Wilson’s areas
of specialization include, higher education administration, leadership,
adolescent and women’s health, and school nursing. Her research
interests are leadership styles and mentoring, administration,
adolescent health with an emphasis on childhood obesity. Vicki
is a consultant evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission
of the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities.
