Laurie Arnold Walker is a lecturer in the School of Nursing – University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. She is a clinical nurse specialist in Community Mental Health Nursing. She coordinates the Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing courses, teaches Pyschiatric Nursing Theory and Clinical and also teaches Public Health Clinicals. Laurie is the coordinator of the Second Degree program. She also consults to long term care facilities on psychotropic medication management. Her research interests center on the elderly – patient, family and staff satisfaction as well as psychotropic medication utilization in the elderly.
