Sandra Strobel is the Advising Coordinator for the School of Nursing
at UNC. She teaches Leadership and Management to 5th semester
undergraduate students, psych nursing, Women’s Health, and
obstetrics.
Ms. Strobel has worked and taught in a wide variety of settings, from remote rural
acute care to large metropolitan healthcare systems. Her administrative
and clinical career work has included updating obstetrical units to family-centered
care concepts. She was part of the administrative team to build the Mary
Birch Hospital for Women, a state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, part of the
Sharp Healthcare system.
She has a passion for working with the psychiatric patient as well and has been
part of the NCMC mental health team in recent years. Her leadership consulting
business has been an impetus for teaching nursing students skills for taking
the world of nursing to new horizons.
