Dr. Jeanette McNeill is new to UNCO, beginning fall, 2014.  She will be teaching in the DNP program, Epidemiology and Population Centered Health Car, as well as Public Health Nursing for the RN-BSN students.  Dr. McNeill was honored by recognition as a Fellow in the Academy of Nursing Education in 2012.  With a specialty in oncology, Dr. McNeill’s experience has primarily been in cancer care, and as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in College Health and Palliative care settings.  Her research and clinical interests were in the area of pain and symptom management for cancer patients, and  the specific challenges of pain management in certain subpopulations—underserved patients, ethnic minorities and the elderly who have acute, cancer or chronic pain.  She is an ELNEC for Veterans trainer. More recently, her research interests have focused on the use of technology in education—both the use of simulation and online technology in nursing education.
