Dr. Debra Leners is a Professor of Nursing and Director of the School of Nursing at the University of Northern Colorado. Debra received her Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Colorado and her Masters/ Pediatric Practitionership in Nursing from the University of Iowa. Her research interests include professional socialization, leadership through mentoring, historical aspects of nursing, and professional issues in advanced nursing practice. Dr. Leners is certified as a National Nurse Educator.
