Karen has worked at the UNC School of Nursing for five years teaching physical assessment obstetric and neonatal nursing in the undergraduate and second degree programs and theory, research and clinical practice courses for the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the graduate level. Her research interests are technology in nursing education and pediatric overweight prevention in rural areas, as well as rural prevention practices of Nurse Practitioners.
