B.S. Nursing - Traditional & Second Degree Program

Prerequisites/Require Support Courses

 

All prerequisites must be completed or the equivalent/substitution transferred in prior to beginning the second degree Nursing Program in the summer. These include the following:

 

CHEM 281* - Fundamentals of Biochemistry (3 credits)

CHEM 281L -  Fundamentals of Biochemistry Lab (1 credits)

BIO 110* -  Principles of Biology (4 credits)

BIO 245 - Intro to Human Anatomy & Physiology (4 credits)

BIO 246 - Advanced Human Anatomy & Physiology (3 credits)

BIO  251 - Allied Health Microbiology (3 credits)

NURS 326 - Pathophysiology (3 credits)

FND 250* - Principles in Nutrition (3 credits)

PSY 230* - Human Growth & Development (3 credits)

STAT 150* - Introduction to Statistical Analysis (3 credits)

ENG 123* - College Research Paper (3 credits)

 *Courses also meet LAC requirements

Note: A CNA course must be completed prior to application!

If BIO 101 was taken prior to the 2012-2013 academic year, it will be accepted in place of BIO 110

**If FND 357 was taken prior to the 2012-2013 academic year, it will be accepted in place of FND 250

**Transcripts must be reviewed for course equivalency. Additional information and a program advisor are available for consultation.
