FACULTY DEVELOPMENT CENTER

NINES offers faculty training workshops, professional development coursework and outreach to promote evidenced-based teaching-learning strategies and pedagogy in health care education. Priority activities include:

• Providing national nursing faculty development activities, focusing on best practice approaches to health care education
• Establishing mentoring programs, guidelines and models of orientation and retention for novice nursing faculty and health care educators
• Networking with the National League for Nursing for faculty development and resource opportunities
• Providing a forum for faculty capacity issues and novel models of faculty roles within nursing programming.
