Summer Workshop

The free four-day Summer Immersion Institute will be held at the YMCA in Estes Park, Colorado, June 24-27, 2013. This free institute supports teachers in their development of problem solving skills as well as the incorporation of problem solving into their school’s curriculum. Daytime sessions will be led by UNC professors and special guest presenters. Sessions will focus on problem solving techniques for the math classroom, and during the evenings teachers will meet for more discussion and networking. The institute is free to all accepted participants, including lodging and all meals. The institute is funded through generous grants from State Farm Insurance, American Institute of Mathematics, and Mathematical Sciences Research Institute. Applications will be evaluated on a first-come first-served basis beginning March 25, 2013 and spaces will fill up fast, so please apply early! Credit can be earned through District 6 (more details later).
