Summer 2013 Workshop

Our four-day Summer Immersion Institute was held at the YMCA in Estes Park, Colorado, June 24-27, 2013. This free institute hosted 24 Colorado teachers to work on math problems. Teachers engaged in problem solving, sharing their solutions and the ways in which they could incorporate presented ideas in their school’s curriculum. Daytime sessions were led by UNC professors and a special guest presenter, Dr. Paul Zeitz. Daytime sessions focused on solving problems and techniques, and during the evenings teachers met for more discussion, networking and playing mathematical games.

The institute was free to all accepted participants, including lodging and all meals. The institute was funded through generous grants from State Farm Insurance, BBVA Compass, American Institute of Mathematics, and Mathematical Sciences Research Institute.

Our next summer workshop will be held June 23-27, 2014. More information about next summer’s workshop (including an application form) please visit the Summer 2014 Workshop page.
