a math camp at the university of northern colorado

We welcome the 2012 participants back for the annual technology session!

What is Math Camp?

Las Chicas de Matematicas: UNC Math Camp was founded by Hortensia Soto-Johnson and Cathleen Craviotto in 2008 and is currently directed by Dr. Soto-Johnson. It is a FREE residential math camp where young women are introduced to college mathematics, are exposed to college life, engage with other young women who enjoy mathematics, and network with women with STEM related careers.

About Us

Math Camp at the University of Northern Colorado is a residential summer program which engages young women in learning about mathematics. If you'd like to learn more, check out the main links or view the photo galleries created by the math camp participants. The girls also put together a neat summary of the Camp C's.

Technology Day

Tech Savvy chicas!

On October 16, 2010, four chicas came back to UNC for a reunion with staff members and counselors. Check out the 2010 galleries to look at the photo albums they put together, or at the 2010 slideshow Dr. Diaz created.

(From Technology Day, October 16, 2010)

The second annual Technology Day was again a success! With help from Dave, the girls compiled new photo albums from the past year.

Galleries from previous years are still online too!

It is definitely a change to be around girls who are as good or better at math than me. It is nice to be able to look up to girls who are really confidence in math because I don’t get that at my school.
