Math Club and TEAM

We currently have two undergraduate clubs for mathematics. Both meet weekly during the school year and are open to all students. In addition, the clubs co-organize the annual Gathering for Gardner Celebration of Mind party every fall.

Math Club

The UNC Math Club offers undergraduate students the opportunity to experience math in an informal setting. Recent Math Club activities have included a panel discussion of REUs (undergraduate research experiences), a talk about doing math in Russia by alum Brian Shroud, and a presentation on knot theory. For more information, see the club website.

TEAM (Teachers Exploring and Applying Mathematics) offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gather as a group of teacher candidates to explore issues of teaching mathematics and apply mathematics in their teaching majors and their future teaching careers. More information is available on the club website.
