Breastfeeding

Breastmilk provides optimal nutrition and lowers health risk for infants, while also having an impact on the health of the mother, family and community. Breastmilk is the recommended first choice of feeding an infant. As a child care provider, you have a very important role in providing good nutrition to the infants in your center and supporting breastfeeding mothers. Below are links to handouts that will assist your child care center staff in providing breastmilk to infants and creating a breastfeeding friendly environment.
