Majors - Check your email for more information!
Students new to the Human Services program are encouraged to read the program requirements in the UNC Catalog.
Before you change majors - if you have questions about the program and academic plan, please contact the Program Coordinator, Dr. David Greene.
To change majors - come to Gunter 1250 and complete a Major/Minor change form. You will be assigned an advisor at that time.
Existing Human Services majors with advising questions should contact their advisor directly via email. Information about your advisor can be found through Degree Works (located in URSA).
If you do not have an assigned advisor, please contact our administrative assistant via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
These documents may help with planning your degree path in Human Services.
Please remember that these are simply tools and you should consult the catalog and Degree Works for the most accurate information.
Classes you want full? Get on the Waitlist!
UNC and Human Services use an automated waitlisting process to ensure timely registration and fairness for all students. To get on the waitlist for a class, simply enter the CRN into the "add classes worksheet" at the bottom of the first page in registration in URSA.
You will receive a message that the course is closed but will be given the option to add yourself to the waitlist if one is available.
- Students may not be waitlisted or registered in two sections of the same course (cannot waitlist for a 10 am section if you're registered for an 8 am!)
- If a spot opens, an email will be sent to the student's Bear Mail address. You have 24 hours to claim the open spot.
For more detailed information, visit the Registrar's website.
Pre-Health/Pre-Med Advising at UNC helps you prepare to apply to a wide range of health professional schools including medical, dental, pharmacy, veterinary, physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, optometry and others. You may obtain your undergraduate degrees in any major offered at UNC, provided the prerequisite courses that are required by the professional school are completed. You should seek advising from both an advisor for your major and an advisor on the Pre-Health Advising Committee.
