Master of Arts in Criminal Justice - Two-Year Program RequirementsThe MACJ program is designed to be completed in two years with full-time enrollment (6-9 credits per semester, including electives during the summer) The MACJ program consists of 34 credits. Twenty-two credits are core classes, which include a thesis or capstone project. Core classes are sequenced and must be taken in the order they are listed in the handbook. The sequence starts each fall term and incoming graduate students are only accepted to begin in the fall semester. Each core class is covered during an eight week session, with the exception of the Capstone Project or Thesis. There are 2 eight week sessions per semester. Students also are required to take 12 credits of approved electives. Two elective credits can be taken from other approved areas outside of criminal justice with approval from the student's advisor. Elective classes are generally conducted over a 16 week period for spring and fall semester and a 6 or 12 week session for the summer semester. Two Year Plan
