UNC Art Faculty to Display Work in Mariani Gallery Aug. 25-Sept. 13

Art featured in the exhibit includes Lauren Lipinski Eisen's mixed-media piece titled "Regeneration."

A gallery exhibit opening Aug. 25 and running through Sept. 13 at the University of Northern Colorado will showcase the diverse and creative works of the faculty of the School of Art and Design.

Held in the Mariani Gallery of Guggenheim Hall, 1819 8th Ave., the exhibition will feature the body of artworks of at least half a dozen faculty of the university's art and design programs.

Faculty members who work is expected for the exhibit include Mike Lemke (ceramics), Andrew Liccardo (photography), Tom Stephens (sculpture/mixed media) and Anna Ursyn (computer graphics).

A reception for the artists will be held 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, in the gallery.

The gallery is open noon-6 p.m Monday through Wednesday, noon-4 p.m.Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

Other upcoming exhibits include Loveland artist Abbie Powers' "On the Breath of the Waves" Aug. 29-Oct. 10 in the Oak Room Gallery of Crabbe Hall, 1900 8th Ave.

A reception for powers, a Loveland installation and performance artist working primarily with silk, will be held 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 in the gallery.
