UNC's popular series of free Tuesday night outdoor summer concerts in July wraps up its 2014 season July 29 with a performance by the popular Denver salsa band Quemando at 8 p.m. in the Garden Theater on the university's picturesque Central Campus.
The season's other concerts included the Colorado Chamber Players; the Colorado Jazz Orchestra, featuring current faculty from UNC's Jazz Studies program; and The Burroughs, a local soul/funk band composed of UNC students and alumni.
Blankets, picnic food and lawn chairs are welcome. The theater is located south of Carter Hall, with free parking available in the lot accessed from 17th St.
The series, sponsored by the College of Performing and Visual Arts' School of Music, has been an integral part of the regional summer music scene since 1931. For additional information, call 351-2993.
