The University of Northern Colorado will host a national conference to share information, practices, policies and research pertaining to teacher candidates' experiences in school settings.
The National Field Experience Conference April 14-15 at the University Center, 2101 10th Ave., will include 45 sessions on a wide variety of topics from faculty and staff representing 28 colleges and universities nationwide, three K-12 school districts in the state, and a UNC partner university in Thailand. Zacharie Clements, a former professor and author of Truisms, Laughter and Contemplation for Road Warriors, will deliver the keynote address.
Lunch the first day will also include a discussion of "teachable moments" that have formed or altered teacher attitudes, beliefs, and perspectives of the educational process and students.
