UNC students Emily Johnson and Jake Corcoran rehearse for the Little Theatre of the Rockies presentation of Swing!

The University of Northern Colorado's Little Theatre of the Rockies closes out its 2014 season with Swing! playing July 31-Aug. 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 3 at 2 p.m. in Langworthy Theatre in Frasier Hall.

Nominated for six Tony awards, Swing! celebrates the emerging cultural and racial diversity that started in pre-war Harlem, generating specialty music styles such as jive, swing, Lindy hop, West Coast swing and hip-hop swing, and features the classic hits "It Don't Mean a Thing," "Hit Me with a Hot Note and Watch Me Bounce" and "Stompin' at the Savory," among many more.

The production features guest School of Theatre Arts and Dance alumna McKayla Marso and is directed and choreographed by STAD faculty member Monte Black.
