UNC Performing Arts Series Continues March 5 with 'Sweeney Todd'

The University of Northern Colorado's College of Performing and Visual Arts' 2013-14 Performing Arts Series, which features students from the School of Theatre Arts and Dance, continues March 5 with Sweeney Todd, which plays March 5-8 at 7:30 p.m. and March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Langworthy Theatre in Frasier Hall on the UNC campus.

In this musical thriller featuring Stephen Sondheim's music and lyrics, the unjustly exiled barber Sweeney Todd returns to 19th century London, seeking revenge against the judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The result is intense drama with uproariously funny moments of dark humor.

The performance is rated PG-13.
