All members of the university community are invited to a celebration of life for Carole Schneider, co-founder of UNC's Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute, on Monday, Oct. 21, at 4:30 p.m. at the RMCRI in the Ben Nighthorse Campbell Center. Schneider passed away July 30 from cancer.
UNC's Board of Trustees last month approved the naming of the Carole M. Schneider Classroom at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation in recognition of Schneider's many achievements at UNC and an endowed scholarship fund to support doctoral students in Exercise Physiology that was made possible by a planned gift from Schneider.
Memorial contributions also can still be made to the RMCRI operating fund.
