Due to widespread devastation from flooding throughout the area, University of Northern Colorado Kay Norton has postponed her State of the University address originally scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 17.
"I am postponing the State of the University address until Sept. 24 while we gather ourselves and make sure we have attended first to the needs of our campus community members," Norton said in a campus email (Norton's email, along with information on how the university is responding, is available at http://www.unco.edu/news/?5755).
The address will take place at noon Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the ballrooms at the University Center, intersection of 10th Avenue and 20th Street.
A capacity crowd of more than 400 people is expected and RSVP's are no longer available. If you RSVP'd and can no longer attend because of the date change, please contact Elaine Quam at email@example.com or 970-351-2121. Otherwise, your reservation will be held.
