UNC Art Professor’s Work Selected for Exhibition in Turkey

Artwork by UNC Professor of Art and Design Anna Ursyn, who leads the Computer Graphics program, has been selected through a juried process for a solo exhibition May 21-June 10 at the Emin Hekimgil Art Gallery in Ankara, Turkey.

Ursyn's research and pedagogy interests include integrated instruction in art, science, and computer art graphics through visual information strategies. The show will explore the use of computer graphics and programming in artistic explorations that further support instruction.

Work by some of her students will be included to demonstrate her teaching techniques.

The Emin Hekimgil Art Gallery is a part of the Turkish American Association, which promotes cultural exchange between Turkey and the U.S. by networking academics, members of the diplomatic community, students, Turkish American Association members and businessmen.
