Finalists for PVA Dean to Meet with College

The search committee for the position of dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts announces that after a nationwide search, three finalists have been selected to visit the UNC campus and meet with the college's students, faculty and staff during open forums. The finalists are:

  • David Caffey, currently director of the School of Music at UNC. His campus visit will take place Thursday-Friday, April 4-5.
  • James Anthony (Tony) Crowley, currently director of the School of Art at Illinois State University. His campus visit will take place Monday-Tuesday, April 8-9.
  • Leo Welch, currently associate dean of Community Engagement and professor of Music at Florida State University. His campus visit will take place Thursday-Friday, April 11-12.

The college open forums are as follows:

Thursday, April 4 (Caffey)
11:15 a.m.-noon - PVA student open forum, Skinner Library Room 139
3-3:45 p.m. - PVA faculty/staff open forum, Kepner 2050

Monday, April 8 (Crowley)
