Midnight Thursday, March 14, is the deadline to apply to present and enter the Academic Excellence Award competition during Research Day on April 14. All undergraduate and graduate students engaged in research or other scholarly projects are welcome to present.
Presentation proposals must be submitted through Ursa using the web-based form located in the Research Day 2013 box on the Student, Employee and Faculty tabs.
Participants submitting to present at Research Day should check the Research Excellence Award box on the application form if they are interested in being considered for the awards. Those abstracts will be reviewed and five finalists will be selected in each category: undergraduate poster or oral, and graduate poster or oral. The finalists will present at designated times in front of a panel of faculty evaluators, and the winners will each receive a $100 award.
More information is available on the Research Day website.
Research Day is one of many events recognizing academic excellence during Academic Excellence Week, April 7-13 and is coordinated by the Office for Undergraduate Research and the Center for Honors, Scholars and Leadership.
