The Classified Staff Council is now accepting nominations for upcoming openings on the council, with a deadline of March 31. Self-nominations are accepted. Nomination criteria, procedures and other important information are included in the nomination form, which can be turned into any CSC member.
The 25-member CSC represents all classified employees working at the university. It's recognized by the Board of Trustees as a shared-governance group and has representation on many university committees.
CSC serves as a liaison between classified staff and the university's administration, Faculty Senate, the Professional Administrative Staff Council and the Student Senate.
Its primary purpose is to represent classified staff, but members strive to promote activities that benefit not only classified staff, but also are of benefit to all segments of the university community, including exempt staff, faculty and students.
CSC is involved in the campus community in a variety of ways, from the Dessert Bake-Off to the annual Awards Banquet to scholarships for students.
Please consider becoming a member of the Classified Staff Council; it can't be "the united voice of UNC's classified staff" without you.
