Peace Corps Ranks UNC in Top 25 for Second Straight Year

Currently, 24 Alumni Serving in Volunteer Organization

The University of Northern Colorado was recently named one of the top colleges and universities for the second straight year by the Peace Corps.

UNC moves up the annual rankings from 21st to 14th among colleges and universities its size for the number of graduates volunteering around the world. Currently, 24 undergraduate alumni and two graduate alumni are serving.

Since the organization's inception in 1961, the number of UNC graduates who have served in the Peace Corps totals 494.

The University of Washington, George Washington University and St. Olaf College topped the annual list in their respective categories. The Peace Corps annually ranks top volunteer-producing schools in the three enrollment-based categories: small, medium and large colleges and universities.
