For the third year in a row, the University of Northern Colorado ranks in the top 25 on the Peace Corps annual college list.
Among colleges and universities with undergraduate enrollment between 5,000 and 15,000 students, UNC is 17th this year in the number of alumni with bachelor's degrees who currently volunteer with the national organization. Twenty-six UNC graduates are serving abroad.
Last year, UNC ranked 14th on the list with 24 alumni volunteering, and in 2009, the university ranked 21st with 21 alumni volunteering. Since the inception of the Peace Corps 50 years ago, more than 500 UNC alumni have served.
The Peace Corps annually ranks top volunteer-producing schools in three enrollment-based categories: small, medium and large colleges and universities.
