UNC Faculty Member to Serve on State Committee

UNC’s Melitta Wagner-Heaston has been selected to serve on a subcommittee that will inform the Colorado Department of Education in revising K-12 model content standards. Wagner-Heaston, who teaches French and German in the School of Modern Langauages and Cultural Studies, will join the subcomittee addressing world language. The Colorado Model Content Standards are in place for core academic disciplines. The Colorado State Board of Education is planning to adopt revised content standards in December 2009.
