Researches factors affecting brain cancers, specifically glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). He was awarded a National Institutes of Health-sponsored postdoctoral fellowship focused on engaging underrepresented groups in biomedical research. During this experience, he developed additional research programs exploring factors related to allergy and asthma. His lab at UNC continues work on the immune system, inflammation, allergy and cancer.
