Executive Chef Aran Essig will prepare two dishes during a seven-minute segment that will be part of Colorado & Company airing from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, on Channel 9 in Denver. The segment will help promote a fundraising dinner on Sept. 26 that will benefit the Colorado Chefs Association Education Fund. Essig also is one of 10 Colorado chefs selected to help prepare the dinner at Spruce Mountain Ranch, a working cattle ranch near Larkspur.
The "Dining in Denim" dinner will feature Colorado beef and other locally grown or raised foods, and is a partnership among the Colorado Beef Council, the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Colorado Proud and the American Culinary Federattion Colorado Chefs Association.

All UNC faculty and staff are invited to help continue the tradition of UNC's annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day by enjoying a complimentary tailgate lunch and admission for two to the UNC-Northern Iowa football game Saturday, Sept. 21, at Nottingham Field. Tailgating starts at 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot near the field's east entrance. Kick-off is at 1:35 p.m.
