It's easier (and more affordable) than ever for current faculty and staff to get or stay in shape with the Campus Recreation Center's Non-Peak Membership, available for $15 per month (or a $120 one-time payment for a year) and providing access to the center 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday, with no weekend restrictions.
A membership will also include a towel service and access to fitness classes during non-peak hours.

UNC's Pride of the Rockies Marching Band will perform the National Anthem when the Colorado Rockies host the San Diego Padres at 6:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Coors Field in Denver. Tickets can be purchased on the Colorado Rockies website.
An open house at the Women's Resource Center was mistakenly included on the 2014 Bear Welcome schedule. Although there's no open house today (Aug. 28), the center plans to host an open house on a later date and will publicize it through various UNC communication channels.
The Student Activities Office apologizes for the error and any inconvenience it caused. Contact the SAO at 970-351-2871 regarding this or any other Bear Welcome event.
UNC's 2014 Homecoming is Oct. 4, and the Student Alumni Association invites students, faculty and staff to nominate UNC seniors for Homecoming Royalty by 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5. Self-nominations are acceptable. Eligibility requirements, other details and a nomination form are available on the Homecoming Royalty website. Friday, Aug. 29, is National College Colors Day, and every Friday is Bear Pride Day at UNC so be sure to wear UNC's blue and gold colors, a Bear Pride T-shirt, UNC logo or other spirited item to show your university pride. Go Bears! More Info.
UNC's mascot Klawz and the Bears' cheer squad are among the colleges and universities represented that are scheduled to make appearance on 9News beginning at 6:55 a.m. Friday. Be sure to tune in.
The deadline for scanning summer session bubblesheet course evaluation forms is Friday, Aug. 29. Forms not scanned by then will not be included in the report file that will be run Sept. 2 and sent to the college deans' offices.
