Two programs at the University of Northern Colorado have earned national rankings for offering an array of degree options for students.
The College Database ranks UNC 12th on its list of 39 Colleges with Psychology at Their Core and 44th on its list of Top U.S. Colleges & Universities for Teaching Education.
UNC was recognized for offering 13 different psychology-based degree programs and 45 teaching education degree programs.

The Graduate School seeks workshop proposals from faculty and staff interested in helping train first-time and experienced graduate teaching assistants during its annual Graduate Teaching Assistant Conference on Wednesday, Aug. 21, with a proposal submission deadline of noon Wednesday, July 24. Workshop presentations lasting one hour and designed to prepare and inspire GTAs for t
upcoming academic year can be arranged for either a morning or afternoon session. Topics can include classroom preparation, innovative instructional strategies, pedagogy, classroom experiences, effective use of technology in teaching, facilitating dialogue, grading, classroom conflict, and extending learning beyond the textbook.
Conference organizers hope to tailor instruction during the conference to TAs' levels of experience and knowledge, i.e., beginner, intermediate or advanced.
