New Tutoring Center Website Available

The Tutoring Center has launched its new website at http://www.unco.edu/asa/tutoring/index.html. The updated site includes information about all the center's programs and partnerships.

RSVPs for June 22 Student Employer Training Due June 18

Employees who interview, hire, supervise or work in any capacity with student employees (hourly, salaried or work study) and who are new to UNC within the last year are strongly encouraged by the Office of Student Employment to attend the Student Employer Training session from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Friday, June 22, in the Gunter Hall auditorium (room 1720).

Topics covered will include work study, I-9 forms and injury reporting, hiring of international students, payroll overview and forms, hiring students through the online job bank and EPAF submissions, or any other student employment topics you would like covered.

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Cynthia Harling by Monday, June 18.

Free Reserved Seating for UNC Employees at July 4 Stampede Parade

All UNC employees, retirees and their immediate household family members are invited to view the Greeley Stampede Independence Day Parade from reserved bleacher seating in front of the UNC Visitors Center on the east side of 10th Avenue.

Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please, no placeholders, e.g. blankets, signs) to claim seats.

Free parking will be available in UNC parking lots.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 4. More than 120 entries fill the parade route, which runs north on 10th Avenue beginning at 19th Street and ending at 5th Street.

Faculty, Staff, Grad Students Sought for Summer Safe Zone Trainings

The GLBTA Resource Office seeks faculty, staff and graduate students to help grow a visible and supportive campus network of allies to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities by participating in one of the office's upcoming Safe Zone training sessions. The next session will be 1-4 p.m. Monday, June 11. Another session will be offered 1-4 p.m. Monday, July 30. The training informs participants about issues surrounding the GLBTQ communities and how they can be supportive allies. Bear Logic FY12 Deadlines

The last day to order a computer to be purchased with FY12 funds is Friday, June 8. All in-stock items may be purchased with an EIO up to June 29. The last day to use your UNC Card for for FY12 Bear Logic purchases is June 20.

Payday for June to be July 2

Pursuant to state statute (SB103-197), each year, the last payroll in June for state employees is paid on July 1. This year, July 1 falls on a Sunday; therefore payday will be Monday, July 2.
