In honor of the Greeley Independence Stampede and UNC's long-standing partnership with Greeley, the university will hold a drawing for three transferable tuition scholarships covering the cost of new students' first semester of tuition.
UNC employees, their parents, members of their immediate family or household and current UNC students are not eligible for the drawing. Employees, their spouses/domestic partners and their dependent children are eligible for free tuition as part of the university's benefit program. Program details (PDF)
One scholarship will go to a prospective undergraduate student, one to a prospective graduate student and one to a prospective extended campus student through a random drawing of eligible participants who sign up at www.uncstampedescholarships.com before midnight on July 6. One entry per person per scholarship is allowed.
The drawing for the scholarships is being publicized on UNC's home page and social media sites as well as in the official Stampede program, on the event's website and social media pages, and through public address announcements and banners at various events in the Stampede arena.
Also, a 30-second video promoting UNC will be broadcast on the arena's big-screen TV during events.
Bear Logic will be closed 8 a.m.-noon, Monday, June 30, for the end-of-year inventory audit. The staff apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Prevention Education and Advocacy Services invites the campus community to attend open forums this week for the two finalists for the position of assistant director of the program.
The schedule of the forums is as follows:
Both forums will be held from 2:15-3 p.m. in Spruce C in the University Center.
The forums will provide an opportunity to meet the finalists, hear their philosophies and perspectives, and ask them questions..Feedback on the candidates is appreciated.

EIOs (Electronic Internal Orders) submitted to Banner in June or earlier must be approved by noon on Wednesday, July 2, or they will roll to FY15 transactions regardless of the date they were created.
All EIOs submitted to Banner on or after July 1 will be FY15 transactions regardless of the dates the EIO's were created.

All UNC employees, retirees and their immediate household family members are invited to view the Stampede Independence Day Parade from reserved bleacher seating in front of the UNC Visitors Center on the east side of 10th Avenue. Be prepared to show your UNC Card if requested.
Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please, no placeholders such as blankets or signs to claim seats. Free parking will be available in UNC parking lots.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 4. More than 120 entries are expected to fill the parade route, which runs north on 10th Avenue beginning at 19th Street and ending at 5th Street.
