Per Senate Bill 03-197, employees paid monthly will be paid on July 1. The change is for June only. Employees paid semi-monthly will be paid on June 30.
In 2003, Senate Bill 03-197 moved the end-of-the-month pay day for state employees for June to the first working day in July. In 2013, Alert 198 from the state controller's office moved the pay day for employees paid semi-monthly back to the last business day of June.

Transfer Leave has been approved for Renee Dent, who works in the Philosophy, Political Science and International Affairs departments. Classified and exempt staff who accrue vacation hours may donate hours to help offset her leave without pay. A donation form is available on the Human Resources website or by calling HR at 351-2718.
Information Management and Technology will host a retirement reception for Jeanette Van Galder 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 27, in the Garden Theater. Stop by and help celebrate her 34 years of service at UNC.
UNC's Xeric Demonstration Garden will be among those included in the 2014 Greeley Garden Tour, scheduled for 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 28. Proceeds from the tour, which costs $15, will be used to fund scholarships for UNC nursing students. The tour annually features some of the best and unique gardens in Greeley and the surrounding areas.
The self-guided tour stops at several gardens in the area where tour volunteers and property owners provide information on the plants and landscape.
The tour also will include the 24 community garden plots near the xeric garden at 17th Avenue and Reservoir Road.
The Xeric Demonstration Garden and the 24 community garden plots were established in 1995 in a collaboration among UNC, the city of Greeley, the Colorado Water Conservation Board and Great Outdoors Colorado. UNC's Landscaping and Grounds department maintains the five-acre Xeric Demonstration Garden and the city manages the 24 community garden plots.

The campus community is reminded to take precautions such as wearing insect repellant during the West Nile Virus season following the recent discovery of mosquito samples in Weld County that tested positive for the virus. No cases of human illness have been reported in the area. Recommended precautions against West Nile virus include the "five Ds":
