Matthew Kennedy graduated from UNC in 2011 with degrees in Economics and International Studies (with minors in Chinese, Spanish and Asian Studies). Since then, he's taken his skills abroad to Madagascar to help those in need through the Peace Corps.
As the fiscal year-end approaches, all employees are reminded that all capital and non-capital gifts given to the university must be recorded as gift revenue and capital assets in the university financial statements. If you're aware of any gifts received by the university, please complete a Gift in Kind Acceptance form and forward by June 13 to Joe Tacoronte in Financial Services (Campus Box 44).
Off-Campus Life will partner with a local real estate professional to offer a First-Time Home Buyer class for anyone interested in home ownership from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in the University Center Council Room. The class will be repeated June 10.
The registration fee is $10 for UNC students, staff and faculty and $15 for non-UNC individuals, with an additional $5 for additional attendees. Space is limited to the first 20 registrants.

This is a "sales-free" course, meaning no high pressure sales tactics. No personal information will be shared with any real estate professionals.

Academic Support and Advising requests faculty and staff's assistance in letting students know that its Tutoring Center is offering free tutoring for the the following courses during the first six-week summer session: BIO 110, BIO 245, CHEM 111, MATH 120 AND MATH 176. The center is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Appointments can be made in the center. For more information or questions, contact Melissa Hoffner, 351-1904.
The accounting staff from Financial Services will be out of the office on June 3, to attend training required by the Colorado Fiscal Managers' Association. Please forward journal entries and other accounting requests to them by Thursday, May 29. You can contact Susan McGuire, 970-351-2228, who will be in frequent contact with the accountants on June 3.
UNC Today will continue to be published Monday through Friday through the summer provided there are campus announcements to share.
