Open Forums for A/PASS Director This Week

The Office of Student Engagement will host open forums this week for candidates for the position of director of Asian/Pacific American Student Services. All member of the university community are welcome to attend and provide feedback on the candidates. The schedule of forums is:

  • Pauline Chui: Monday, June 18, 11:-11:45 a.m., North Hall lounge
  • Michael Weddington: Wednesday, June 20, 10:30-11:15 a.m., Women's Resource Center lounge
  • Miel McCarthy: Thursday, June 21, 10-11a.m., North Hall lounge
  • Phillip Yang: Friday, June 22, 11:15 a.m.-noon, North Hall lounge

Copies of the candidate's resume will be available at the forum.

Alumni Day at the Denver Zoo Registration Deadline Nears

Friday, July 13, is the deadline for registrations for the UNC Alumni Association's Alumni Day at the Denver Zoo on Sunday, July 22. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger and include admission to the zoo and access to the new Toyota Elephant Passage, a unique live animal meet-and-greet, lunch and a special giveaway.

UNC Professor Stephen Mackessy and alumnus Brian Aucone, vice president for Animal Collections at the zoo, will talk about their work and exciting research.

UNC Today Summer Publication Schedule

UNC Today will continue to be published Monday through Friday through the summer provided there are campus announcements to share.

To submit an announcement, use the online form. Upcoming events, including important deadlines, should be added to the online calendar.

Add a Page to UNC's Social Media Portal

UNC now has a social media portal at www.unco.edu/social/ containing links to approved social media pages for UNC programs, departments, offices and other entities. If you have an active Facebook, Twitter, Flickr or other social media page you would like listed on the portal, visit Web Communications' website to find out how to get it added.

The site contains the required approval form to create social media pages, guidelines and best practices for creating them, and a training video.

Students, alumni and employees are encouraged to contribute posts to UNC's Facebook page.
